I have several Danes that stand their ears PERFECT but then I also have my Willy (Willow) that won't stand hers hardly ever. If they don't stand after they are cropped, it makes for an unattractive head although the Dane is absolutely beautiful. You can't go by the parents or grand parents ears either on if they will stand or not, it simply does not work that way. Brandy is the mom to Willow & Brandy's ears stand perfect & I never taped Brandy's! They stood perfect from the day they were cropped. Obviously this does not happen very often. Taping the ears could last up to 6 months or more & still may never stand. I have searched the internet on ear cropping & I am providing just a few very helpful links about ear cropping.
