First of all, I would like to say we are very pleased that you are interested in one of our puppies. The health & happiness of our puppies are top priority.

We start supplementing (depending on the litter size) our puppies with a home made puppy formula at 3 days old. This helps relieve some of the work load for the mom & gets the puppies off to a good start with socialization with humans. At 3 days old we start the Bio Sensor Program & continue till the 16Th day. At 2 weeks, they get their first dose of Pyran 50 (wormer). At this age their eyes are open & they are starting to walk. At 3 weeks, they get their first taste of dog food. We grind the food up till it looks like powder & mix it with the puppy formula. They make a heck of a mess but momma sure likes to clean them up! At 4 weeks, they get their 2ND dose of Pyran 50 & their kennel cough vaccine. At this time we no longer grind the food to powder, we crush it to make it a bit smaller. We really start getting into the fun stage at this point. The puppies start playing with each other & us. Also sometime during the 4Th week, the puppies get moved out of the whelping house (weather permitting) to a bigger pen. The puppies start spending more time outside exploring & playing. At 6 weeks old, we no longer crush their food. Mom has just about weaned the puppies so this is when we start feeding them 3 times a day. They will get Safe Guard, for 3 days, as a wormer along with the prevention of giardia. They will also get their first vaccine along with being started on Albon, for 10 days, as a prevention for coccidiosis.. At 7 weeks old, we start feeding the puppies separately to make sure no one over/under eats. This is a very important time to start petting, rubbing, play with their tail & ears while they are eating to make sure there is no food aggression!. At 8 weeks they are ready to go home. We give another dose of Pyran & make sure a fecal (stool check) is done for each puppy. Once they get a clean bill of health from the vet, they will be ready for their new homes.
My puppies do not come on a 'first come first serve' basis. Talking with a possible new puppy owner either over the phone or in person always has priority over emails. Once I feel you will be able to provide a good home for one of my puppies I will let you know for SURE that I will hold the puppy for YOU til the deposit is received. If you mail your deposit, I will give you 4 mailing days to receive it. Once a deposit is placed that puppy is considered your new puppy from then on. Just because someone may have emailed me a few times & I have explained how this process works does NOT mean that puppy is on hold for you. I have to do everything I can to ensure my puppies are going to good homes. I am truly sorry if this process has made someone 'miss out' on a puppy they wanted. I have to go with my gut feeling!

Because of past experiences, ALL puppies must be paid in full by 8 weeks of age. This means if you are coming to my home to pick your puppy up (at 8 weeks old) then you can simply pay the balance then. If for some reason (ex. on vacation) the new owners have me hold the puppy longer then 8 weeks of age, the balance must be paid by age stated above. If the puppy is to be shipped, the balance & shipping must be paid 4 days prior to shipping NO EXCEPTIONS.
My puppies go home with all of the following:

*One (1) year written health guarantee. (Link to contract at bottom of page)

*Proper socialization with adults, kids, other Danes, & NO food aggression.

*Age appropriate wormings, vaccinations, & all this information (dates given & what needs to do done from then on) in writing that will be in your puppies folder.

*Your puppies folder will be filled with papers containing information on household safety, food, general breed information, coccidiosis, giardia, socialization, & much more. Please take the time to read them to educate yourself.
